Some classes have the ability to craft items faster and with a higher quality than most people are capable. Advanced Crafting is built on top of normal item crafting.
Advantages of Advanced Crafting
Those with Advanced Crafting can complete crafting in half the time as somone simply familiar with the tools, and does not have disadvantage when using tools they are unfamiliar with. Instead, they have advantage when using tools they are familiar with. They can also use makeshift tools, should requisite alternatives be available. They can also use makeshift facilities. For example, they can use stones and a campfire to build a improvised forge, and a large rock as an anvil in order to use smith's tools.
All those familiar with Advanced Crafting Techniques always have profiency in the Engineering and Science domains of knowledge. If you already have proficiency in one or both of these domains, choose one or two others instead.
More Crafting
Certain varieties of items are only able to be crafted by those with Advanced Crafting capabilities. In particular, thses tend to be items with a higher degree of internal complexity. Anyone can forge a sword, but building a miniature automoton that can got fetch objects for you, that requires a special hand. Crafting trinkets, Technology and Machines can only be done by those with Advanced Crafting. Additionally, producing works with finer craftsmanship, such as detailed jewelery, or embroidered clothing also requires Advanced Crafting. Finally, at high levels, individuals can even learn to build entire vehicles.
