Individuals especially familiar with hand-to-hand and weapon based combat are able to train in specialized combat techniques, offering themselves the ability to pull off attacks and maneuvers which nobody else can do. They do this by tapping into their stamina reserves. They can use their stamina to boost attacks, perform impressive maneuvers, or dash across the battlefield in record time.

Combat Techniques can be learned in various ways, depending on a player's class. Once learned, these techniques can be performed by exerting varying numbers of stamina points. These techniques allow creatures to perform special attacks, extra attacks, or skilled evasions when being attacked..

Stamina Reserves

Creatures with access to a stamina reserves begin with 6 stamina points at level 1. Every level, they gain an additional stamina point. Every 5 levels, they gain a bonus 5 stamina points. (for a total of 6)

A single stamina point can be exerted, once per turn, to add an additional damage die to any attack that requires an attack roll, and uses either a bare hand or a weapon. The rank of the additional damage die changes with the player's level.

A single stamina point can be exerted, once per movement action, to add an additional 5 feet of movement to that movement action.

Finally, an amount of stamina, varying by level, for the following day can be sacrificed in order to take a long rest in less time. Table 4 below shows how many stamina points need to be exerted, and what duration it reduces the long rest to. At higher levels, an individual can pay the lower price of one of the lower levels, to take a long rest in that level's shortened duration.
