The tinkerer is in many ways analog to the 5E artificer in spirit, however mechanically, it will likely vary greatly. This class will have a much greater focus on customization of it's own abilities. (with some sort of procedural system for doing so, this class will likely be significantly more complex than some of the others) At least one of the tinkerer sub-classes will have some sort of turret-like ability, which will be mid-ranged, with lesser damage, but will allow for the additional side effects. (one of which will likely just be an inrease to the damage)
